Susan Palmer
Marshall has created a new sound all her own - and dubbed it "Celtic
Pop". On her new CD, "Remember", Susan sings about the tragic events
of September 11th and of the heroes we will never forget.
A former New Christy Minstrel, she has a warm, spirited voice capable
of a wide vocal range and deep emotion. Vocally prolific and musically
inventive, Ms. Marshall's versatility can be heard in such contrasting
numbers as the anthem-like "United We Stand", the heartfelt "Kristy
Anne" and the stirring "Ballad of Paddy Brown". "Remember" is Susan
Palmer Marshall's fifth album release, and reflects her versatility
in voice and spirit.
Bob Harrison, President of the Glasgow Highland Games commenting on
"United We Stand" says "I just commend Sandy and Susan
for writing that song; that is just a fantastic song".
Ms. Marshall, a veteran of musical theatre, and talented singer/songwriter,
has performed at Carnegie Hall in "An Evening of Celtic Entertainment",
for the American Ireland Fund honoring former Speaker of the House
Tom Foley, at the Chevrolet Celtic Classic, Fergus Highland Games,
Grandfather Mountain Celtic Jam, Hunter Mountain Celtic Festival,
to name a few, and has been a featured performer at the Glasgow Highland
Games since 1990.
